The University of Findlay in Ohio. I'm in for Pre-Veterinary. I want to do large animals because so many people want small and I like the farm animals better.

Oh wow! That is WONDERFUL! I'd love to be able to go to Rolex. *sighs* That's one of my post-college goals, to go see Rolex. (and Breyerfest and Equine Affair and showjumping in Madison Square Garden.... lol) And you get to help on the cross country course! How cool is that! Will you be in a position to meet any of the riders or no? Are you going to take pictures?

Heck ya! I'm taking pictures! I'm afraid that I will run my batteries down and fill the memory card. I think I will be able to meet some of the riders. I will be sure to post them for all to enjoy when I come back.

That's one of my life goals. To not only go to Rolex, but RIDE in it. *sigh* But alas, my parents don't seem to like the idea of me jumping, and sadly, I have no horse of my own. Other than models/stuffed animals/imaginary/virtual ones... I have at least 150 of those! (about 100 models, 50 stuffed animals, 5 imaginary, and like 20? virtual... Make that about 175.)

Yeah, that would be awesome. Good thing horse-riding is something you can do long-term, yeah? After all, Lorna Johnstone was 70 when she competed in the Olympics for Britain -she did really well too! Reiner Klimke was, I think, 54 when he won his gold medal? There's hope for us yet! LOL

EKKK competeing in rolex! that is some serious stuff. I just went to a 1* (rolex is a 4*) and 2 horses died on the cross country course . one broke his leg and had to be put down and the other broke his neck and died. as much as I hate to say this, uisually one horse at least dies at rolex every year. I have seen a few broken legs and there was a few horses who broke there neck, a few riders who got seriously injured. it is really scary stuff! I will just stick with my dressage And watch the other people jump LOL!

That's one reason I DON'T do race horses anymore...I saw too many good horses put down over the years, mainly because trainers and owners pushed and pushed. Anyhoot! Congrats on going to Rolex. hehe. Do that stuff BEFORE you have kids! LOL... It's hard for me to go anywhere like that, since I have 2 kids and they are in elementary school...so I'm planning stuff in 9 years when they are both graduated! LOL Oh and POST TONS of pics! ;D
